WELCOME TO SOUTH EASTERN INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL (SEIS)!
Nestled in southern York County, SEIS is uniquely situated between the scenic Susquehanna River to the east and the historic Mason-Dixon Line to the south. We proudly serve students in grades five and six, providing a supportive and enriching environment that fosters both academic and personal growth.
Our dedicated faculty is committed to helping each student reach their full potential. Rooted in the Pennsylvania State Standards, our curriculum emphasizes four core subject areas: English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. Students also explore a variety of enriching subjects including Music, Art, Computer Science, and Research, ensuring a well-rounded educational experience.
SEIS is built around a teaming model that promotes collaboration and personalized learning. Each grade-level team consists of three teachers who work with the same group of students, enabling stronger relationships and more targeted instruction.
We are committed to meeting students where they are and guiding them forward. Through differentiated instruction and a wide range of teaching strategies—including project-based learning, direct instruction, guided inquiry, and collaborative activities—we strive to engage and challenge every learner.
At the end of each day, students participate in RAMS period, a dedicated time for team meetings, academic support, clubs, and music ensembles. This unique structure supports the development of the whole child, preparing our students to thrive as learners and leaders in the 21st century.
We are excited to partner with families and the broader community as we continue to build a culture rooted in excellence, curiosity, and care.
My very best,
Dr. Heather C. Venne
